Franco Vado has been a Police Officer since 1992. He spent the first two years as a reserve with Fremont Police Department, and the last fourteen with the City of San Jose. While with San Jose Franco has worked in the Cruise Management Detail, Parks Enforcement Unit, and the Horse Mounted Unit. He has been certified to patrol on bicycle, horseback, and in 4X4 vehicles. Franco is a defensive tactics and arrest control instructor and teaches in service personnel.

Prior to joining the Police Department Franco spent two years as a juvenile counselor at the Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall where he supervised minors awaiting trial, or placement in long-term facilities

Franco was born and raised in San Jose and lives here with his wife and two children. His free time is spent coaching youth soccer, volunteering at his children’s school, and spending time with his friends and family.
