The SJPOA staff are professionals who serve as the point of contact at the office.
They assist the Board of Directors and help the members with any needs.
Joanne has been with the SJPOA since 2003 and serves as Executive Director. She supervises the staff and coordinates the day-to-day workings of the SJPOA office. She maintains control over financial and administrative matters associated with the SJPOA, as well as the SJPOA Charitable Foundation. Joanne works closely with the Executive Board and the Board of Directors to ensure members’ needs are best served. Joanne is a licensed Notary Public and this service is available to all members. She also works with Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS) in line of duty deaths.
Administrative Assistant / Graphic Designer
Nicole graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising, with an academic focus in Art. She started at the SJPOA in 2011 as a graphic design/advertising intern. She designed various ads for the Vanguard, as well as ads that ran in the San Jose Mercury Newspaper. In 2012 she was hired on as a full-time employee and expanded her job to include administrative assistant responsibilities.
