San Jose Police Officers' Association

 

The San Jose Police Officers’ Association Charitable Foundation (SJPOA CF) was established in 1985 to provide financial and other assistance to individuals and families, as well as support charitable organizations that serve our community. Funding is made possible through generous contributions from SJPOA Members, community donations, corporate sponsorships, and fundraising events. Through these efforts, the SJPOA CF proudly supports programs and initiatives in five primary areas:

Organizations that benefit our community’s youth
           Providing positive activities and programs allows children to learn, grow, and connect. These experiences help create meaningful relationships, lasting memories, and a foundation for future success. Organizations that help make these opportunities possible include the: Blue Christmas Toy Drive, San Jose Police Athletics League (PAL), Cops Care Cancer Foundation (CCCF), California Homicide Investigators Association (CHIA) Scholarship, Shop With A Cop, and California Robbery Investigators Association (CRIA) Scholarship.

Organizations that strengthen the bond with our community
           To connect with our community, organizations offer events that give people a reason to come together and create a positive environment to live, work, and visit. Some impactful organizations that accomplish this are the: SJPD Ice Cream Truck, SJPD VOLT, Police Amateur Athletics Foundation (PAAF), Special Olympics, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), and the American Red Cross.

Organizations that provide support to our community’s policing
           Several important groups that help reduce and prevent crime in our community include the: San Jose Police Chaplaincy, Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence, Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers, Santa Clara County Deputy Sheriffs Foundation, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), and the California Narcotics Officers’ Association (CNOA).

Organizations that benefit Police Survivors and Police Memorials
           Recognizing and honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice reminds us of the profound cost of service and the enduring impact these losses have had on their families, colleagues, and communities. Some organizations we support in this shared goal of Honor are the: Injured Officers’ Assistance Program, Member Support, San Jose Police Foundation, San Jose Police Emerald Society (SJPES), Knot On Call, DreamPower Horsemanship, Concerns Of Police Survivors (COPS), California Peace Officers’ Memorial Foundation (CPOMF), and California Narcotics Officers’ Association’s Survivors Memorial Fund (CNOA SMF).

SJPOA CF’s Victims’ Assistance
           The SJPOA CF’s Victims’ Assistance program provides financial assistance and other support to victims of a violent crime and/or loss of property. The SJPOA CF strives to build a partnership between victims, police officers, the media, and members of our community to help survivors of crime heal and recover from their ordeal. • Check: If you would prefer to make a contribution by check, please make it payable to “SJPOA CF,” write “Donation” in the memo line, and mail it to the SJPOA Office at: 1151 N. 4th St., San Jose, CA 95112.

• Cash: Cash donations can be made at the SJPOA Office during office hours, which are typically Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and are subject to change without notice as we are a small office. We recognize all city holidays.
