Victims’ Assistance is a program within the SJPOACF. It supports community policing by providing financial assistance to victims of violent crime or loss of property. A partnership is built with the victim(s), the media, police officers, and members of the community.
The program will consider applicants referred by the police officer assigned to the case. The following criteria must be met:
The police officer assigned to the case must submit a police report.
Local or national media must be willing to write an article to bring greater attention and community support.
Applicants will be responsible for all tax return filings.
All contributions to the San Jose Police Officers' Association Charitable Foundation are tax deductible: 501c(3): #77-0037824.
