Victim's Assistance

Victim’s Assistance is a program within the San Jose Police Officers' Association Charitable Foundation (SJPOA CF). It supports community policing by providing financial assistance to victims of a violent crime or loss of property. A partnership is built with the victim(s), police officers, the media, and members of the community.

The program will consider applicants referred by the police officer assigned to the case. The following criteria must be met:

  • The police officer assigned to the case must submit a copy of the police report and complete any SJPOA forms.

  • Local or national media must be willing to write an article to bring greater attention and gain community support.

  • Applicants will be responsible for all tax return filings.

  • Please contact info@sjpoa.com with any questions, to request the necessary forms, and to submit information.

All contributions to the SJPOA CF are tax deductible: 501c(3): #77-0037824.

If you would prefer to make a contribution by check, please make it payable to “SJPOA CF,” write “Victim’s Assistance” in the memo line, and mail it to: 1151 N. 4th St., San Jose, CA 95112.
