Member Support: The Yeung Family

Recently, our community faced a heartbreaking situation; Retired Officer Wilson Yeung #3140, suffered a serious spinal injury while training with a student after jui-jitsu class. Both Yeung and the other student involved are seasoned grapplers and this injury did not occur because of negligence or malice.

The injury occurred just a few days ago and doctors have indicated that Yeung faces a very small chance of walking again. However, Yeung is a fighter, and with our community’s support, we believe he has a chance for the best possible outcome.

To assist Yeung and his family during this challenging time, we are raising funds to help alleviate any financial burdens they may face while he focuses on rehabilitation.

As his wife beautifully describes him: “After 25 years as a San Jose Police officer, he is a wonderful husband and father to our three sons, ages 21, 19, and 15. He is always eager to learn new skills, whether it’s fixing things around the house or playing self-taught new songs on the guitar. He is a supportive brother, a loving son to his elderly parents, and a loyal friend.”

Yeung deserves the opportunity to enjoy his retirement and thrive after this tragic accident. If you can, please consider donating to this fund. Every contribution will go directly to The Yeung Family to help them navigate this difficult journey. Together, we can make a difference in his recovery.

If you would prefer to make a contribution by check, please make it payable to “SJPOA CF,” write “Yeung” in the memo line, and mail it to the SJPOA Office, located at: 1151 N. 4th St., San Jose, CA 95112.

Cash donations can be made at the SJPOA Office during office hours.

100% of your contribution benefits The Yeung Family and is tax deductible.

Thank you for your support!
